Description

Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club is looking to hire servers for our on-course snack shack for shifts beginning in April and May. The ideal candidate must be available through August, have a sense of urgency, ability to work in a team-based environment and have pride in their position. The ideal candidate will be available mornings(7am-3pm), or evenings(3pm-10pm) for golf outings Monday-Sunday. On average, this is a 30-40 hour per week job with shifts available during the week and weekends. Typical shifts are 6-8 hours long. Elkhorn Ridge is a public golf club located in Spearfish, SD that caters to over 200 members and many on-premise functions.

This is a Part-Time Job working 25-40 hours each week
Shift will range from 6-10 hours
Starting time will vary between 7:00am-3:00pm
ALL CANDIDATES WILL NEED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY SHIFTS

Under the supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager, provides exceptional customer service and provision of drinks and food service on the Elkhorn Ridge Golf Course grounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs a variety of duties associated with the provision of food and beverage service to golfers.
  • Serves food and beverage items to customers on the golf course.
  • Operates a golf cart, beverage cart and other work carts on the golf course.
  • Operates the cash register and/or cash drawer.
  • Maintains cash and inventory control.
  • Utilizes a variety of tools such as brooms, water hoses, mops and shovels to perform club house grounds maintenance, club house maintenance and beverage cart sanitation.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment, facilities and beverage cart.
  • Responsible to re-stock, load and unload beverage cart.
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned
  • Provides excellent customer service.

Qualifications and Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum age 21.
  • Must have knowledge of golf etiquette, exceptional customer service skills and great communication skills.
  • Six (6) months of food and beverage serving experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate commitment to quality food and beverage service.
  • Previous golf cart operation experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • A valid South Dakota driver's license


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • No supervisory responsibility.

INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Contacts with the public or employees within the organization in the interest of cooperative work accomplishment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; climb or balance; and stoop and kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds (independently). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually mild to moderate. Ninety percent (90%) of the work is performed inside or sheltered, and in varying weather conditions from hot to cold.
